Where

Historic Hose Tower
5699 Parking Street, Greendale, WI, 53129

Unless otherwise noted, Power Hour meetings are generally held at the Greendale Hose Tower

Power Hour is held every fourth Tuesday of the month and is a gathering of members to learn more about each other and what’s happening in the Greendale business community. Every member is awarded thirty seconds to introduce themselves and give a brief update about the business they represent. We always have an interesting speaker to educate us around a business topic of interest.

You are encouraged to exchange business cards and you’re welcome to leave literature on the tables.

The meeting starts at 8am and end ends promptly at 9am. Coffee and water is provided, sometimes somebody donates a light breakfast pastry.

Volunteer to serve at PowerHour meetings you select. It’s a great way to get to know people.

This Month’s Speaker:

Are You Prepared For the Unexpected?

Yvonne-Marie A. Lewandowski

This program will provide a very brief insight into what to consider with aging parents and blended families while proposing questions such as:

  • Who’s parent is it – the step-child who lives 5 miles away or the biological child who lives 500 miles away?
  • What do you do when you get the unexpected phone call…your parent fell, broke their hip, rehab will be necessary or…it is no longer safe for your parent to live alone?
  • Who do you turn to for legal help, daily living help, and spiritual help?
  • We will explore some community resources along with what to think about as an adult child, a parent, and how any one scenario may impact you, your family and career.

Most of all, you will have the tools to start making major life decisions before a crisis begins.
